The Poetry Night Reading Series

The Poetry Night Reading Series is a twice-monthly reading series hosted by Andy Jones. The first hour of the reading features an established author or poet, while the following hour features an Open Microphone segment. Readers have included UC Davis faculty Francisco X. Alarcón, John Boe, Joshua Clover, Jack Forbes, Clarence Major, Sandra McPherson, Joe Wenderoth, and Alan Williamson, as well as many regional and traveling poets.
The Poetry Night Reading Series occurs on the first and third Thursday of every month at the John Natsoulas Gallery at 521 First Street in Davis. The featured reader begins at 8:00 PM, followed by an Open Microphone segment at 9:00 PM.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early  to secure a table, and to sign up for a spot on the Open Mic list.
